Caregiver Events in Austin

Upcoming Events over the next few months:

1.  A series of hour long educational events on the 1st Wednesday at Sun City, Georgetown is being offered by Tiffin House, Alzheimer Association, and Scott and White Home  Care.  It is held from 10 -11am in the Florence Room at the Cowan Center(Sun City).  First 25 RSVP attendees will receive a complimentary copy of “Alzheimer’s Days Gone By” by Deanna Lueckenotte.  Deanna is also the presenter.  RSVP to tiffinhousellcd@gmail.com or ph: 254-535-7584.  The topics are:

2.  AGE(Austin Groups for the Elderly) continues with its programs in October and November.  They generally run from 10 – noon.  Respite is available.  Contact Bruce Kravity

3.  The 9th Annual Striking a Balance Caregiver Conference will be held on Saturday, Sept 18.  It usually goes from 9 till noon.  Respite is available.  Registration has not yet opened for this, however once it is open the spots usually go quickly, so I’ll let you know as soon as I hear.
